In a heartwarming display of compassion, Broken to Brilliant recently received a generous donation from Woolworths Petrie - a substantial period supply hamper was kindly donated that is set to create a positive ripple effect in the lives of women in need.
Pay it forward
Just like the movie Pay it Forward Broken to Brilliant is on a mission to create a ripple of positive change in the world. Operating on a "Pay It Forward Model', we are dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of domestic violence survivors by 'sharing the dignity'. The period products from the hamper will be shared among local domestic violence women's shelters and our courageous survivors, extending a helping hand when it's needed most.
Making Every Purchase Matter:
Woolworths is proud to partner with Share the Dignity to help eradicate period poverty in Australia. They are currently supporting a "Share the Dignity" donation drive. The pink collection boxes are located in Woolworths supermarkets.
Woolworths donate 5 cents from every period care sale during March and August. These funds have allowed Share the Dignity to install and maintain an additional 107 Dignity Vending Machines, which dispense free period packs discretely and free of charge.
