Broken to Brilliant started 2020 with an exciting and ever increasing calendar of events.

Western Suburbs Rotary clubs has invited Broken to Brilliant to several events throughout the year. We are looking forward to growing this partnership into the future.

Though, our lives changed over the last few months, with COVID 19 affecting all of us in so many different ways. Broken to Brilliant is adapting to the new restrictions with a number of our events moving to virtual delivery. We have embraced this amazing learning curve to maintain our commitment to survivors of domestic violence.

The Survivors to Thrivers Mentoring program is an excellent example of how versatile the team have been, all meetings are being held using Zoom. In the background the team has industriously adapted presentations and posted books, journals and vision board materials to mentors and mentees.

May is Domestic and Family Violence Prevention month, unfortunately a number of scheduled events have been cancelled due to COVID19 restrictions.

Never fair the Broken to Brilliant team are busy creating alternative ideas that can be delivered online or via Zoom. Nothing like a crisis to inspire us to think outside the box.

Check out the new HELP US tab on the Broken to Brilliant website. You may be able to have a virtual fundraising event or try a driveway event, of course you stay in your own driveway.

Like you, I was really looking forward to the art workshops and Art Show in May, however, the likelihood of these events going ahead is most unlikely.

If you can get involved, we would love to hear from you , contact us at contact@brokentobrilliant.org
