“By the way everyone, I’m not a writer. When I was asked to do this chapter, I was quite overwhelmed. Thanks, Kate, for your amazing motivation and helping me to achieve this chapter…. something I’ve always wanted to do and didn’t know how……another amazing person in my life to which I am very grateful. I hope you get something out of my story and your life is blessed”.
I chose to be in the book Broken to Brilliant - breaking free to be you after domestic violence, to leave a legacy for my children. I hope that they can learn how to survive in difficult situations and remain in hope and faith.
Telling my story was an interesting experience, putting to words things that I had hidden, forgotten or not dealt with. There was an unexpected sadness for a little long forgotten girl. It has also given me new insight into the situation. It's been a pleasure to get to know Kate and her story through the book. So many people just need a smile and support.
I believe my story will help others and I would love my chapter to inspire others to have hope and faith. Regardless of your age always, have hope and faith. I hope you get something out of my story and your life is blessed”.
