About The Event

#Gratitudewalk

The Geebung Gratitude Walk occurs when there are 5 Saturdays in the month. On the fourth Saturday is the Geebung Walk, which is the 22nd May 2021.  This happens, as on the last Saturday of the month we hold #pilatesinthepark

For the Geebung Gratitude Walk, we meet at Broken to Brilliant Op Shop - Shop 2b, 2-6 Railway Parade Geebung at 7am. We walk along the foootpath to Geebong Park and then follow the walking and bike path and back again ready for a cuppa at Unamed Cafe next door to the Broken to Brilliant Op Shop at around 8am.  If you want to catch public transport the closest train station is Geebung Station.

This #Gratitudewalk promotes respectful relationships and says No to Domestic Violence. This walk offers victims, survivors, family and friends, community members a group to connect with and to join in an inexpensive form of physical activity in a safe and supportive environment. A range of people attend the walks, which creates a great support network.

Benefits

Outdoor walking groups have wide-ranging health benefits including reducing blood pressure, body fat, total cholesterol & the risk of depression. Being grateful & practising gratitude helps to increase happiness & reduce depression. Walking with a group also reduces social isolation & increases feelings of connectedness.
