Welcome to the Speech Craft Program

Are you ready to unleash the power of your voice and feel more comfortable speaking in front of an audience? 

The Speech Craft Program, offered by Broken to Brilliant in partnership with Pines Toastmasters,  is a dynamic and interactive course combining a Zoom session and 2 days of face-to-face training, designed to equip domestic violence survivor advocates with the essential skills needed to improve their skills in public speaking and presentations.

Program Overview

Introduction to Public Speaking Zoom Session

• Date: Wednesday, 17th April, 2024
• Time: 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
• A ZOOM link will be sent to each participant separately. 

Speech Craft Face-to-Face Workshop*

• Dates: Saturday, May 25th, and Sunday, May 26th, 2024
• Time: 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM (each day)

 

Day 1:

Dive into the fundamentals of public speaking, including key elements such as voice modulation, body language, and stage presence.

Overcome the fear of speaking in public through practical exercises and supportive guidance.

Master the art of impromptu speaking and respond confidently to unexpected questions.

Explore the structure and organization of speeches, with hands-on practice sessions.

Receive constructive feedback during the evaluation session to refine your skills.

Day 2:

Review and reinforce the concepts covered on Day 1.

Learn strategies to captivate and engage your audience, ensuring your message resonates with impact.

Hone your delivery techniques, harnessing the power of your voice and body language to convey your message effectively.

Practice advanced presentation techniques to elevate your speaking prowess.

Showcase your newfound skills by delivering a speech to the group.
