About The Event

We are taking expressions of interest for our Broken to Brilliant RESTORE Program.

This program will be held at the Tallebudgera Valley, Gold Coast.

Rebuild Empowerment Safely Through Relational Equine 

The group runs for 8 x weeks - 2hrs per week on a Tuesday 

The effects of domestic violence often continue to traumatise survivors many years after the violence, control, and abuse have ceased.

Our RESTORE Program is designed specifically for women survivors to rebuild with the support of our beautiful horses, professional counsellors, equine specialists and domestic violence survivors. 

Cost $25 per session 

Dates: 23rd April to 11th June 2024

The funding for this program comes from a combination of Broken to Brilliant and participant contributions. However, we are actively seeking additional funding to cover any remaining costs not covered by these sources.

Facilitators

  1. Tracey is an Equine Assisted Psychotherapist and trauma-informed Counsellor. Tracey has over 20 years of experience working in the field of therapy. She is passionate about helping others to reconnect in a safe place.  Tracey Johnson; BA Counselling: MGestTherapy; Certified EAP
  2. Shazza is an equine professional and has dedicated her life in building connection and harmony with horses. She teaches processes in understanding the nature of horses. Creating better training and understanding for those who pursue the art of horsemanship.
  3. Amber has been working within the child protection sector for 2 years providing support to at risk youth who have experienced adverse trauma and foster families who care for these children. Amber has a particular passion for supporting those who have experienced trauma and educating the community around the effects of trauma. Amber has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychological Science and 17 years of horsemanship experience.
