About The Event

Share your story in the book Coerced to Courageous

It’s time!

It's time to be courageous

Yes, it is time to share your story.

We have now confirmed all places in the book.

We are closing registrations for now, to work through current applicants and not dissappoint anyone.

Why should you share your story?

Simply to help you heal and to help others on their healing journey.

"Studies have shown that digging into our personal stories, reflecting on them, and editing them as our lives evolve, is good for us. Sharing them with others, though it makes us vulnerable, is an important part of this healing" . See reference

Sharing your story may not be easy and it helps your healing. You many not even be aware of what you have buried.

How do I know? Well in 2013, I did just that. I started to share my story. Yes, it did bring up a lot of hurt feelings and it took me back to those dark times. Though in the process something positive happened, I began to feel free from the baggage, I worked through underlying emotions, and I felt happier, lighter and more at peace with myself.

Since then, 32 domestic violence survivors have also shared their stories in our series of stories of strength and success and rebuilding life after abuse. The authors in our three books Broken to Brilliant, Terror to Triumph and Shattered to Shining found that sharing their story was life changing. But also, their stories have helped so many other domestic violence survivors, providing hope and strategies to help them to rebuild their lives.

Now, it could be your turn to share your story in our upcoming book ‘Coerced to Courageous’.
