The Broken to Brilliant Support Walks offer a great opportunity to enjoy the outdoors while focusing on gratitude and building social connections. It promotes respectful relationships and opposes Domestic Violence. Everyone, including victims, survivors, family and friends, and community members, is welcome. It's a low-cost way to engage in physical activity in a supportive and safe environment. People of all backgrounds attend the walks, which helps to create a strong support network.

Walking has many health benefits, including reducing blood pressure, total cholesterol, and body fat, as well as lowering the risk of depression. During the walk, we focus on what we are grateful for ( we do not share stories of the abuse), this helps to increase happiness and reduce depression. Walking with a group reduces social isolation and increases feelings of connectedness.

You can read more about the benefits of walking groups in this journal article https://bjsm.bmj.com/content/49/11/710.
