FREE HEART Program Taster

The HEART Program, which is an acronym for the Healing Equine Art Resilience Therapy Program has been designed for families impacted by domestic and family violence.  The FREE HEART program taster on Saturday 24th April 10-2.15 pm at the The Therapy Pod Dalton Rd, Tallebudgera Valley.  

The Free HEART Program Taster is so you can come and try the equine and art therapy session. This session is open to all, including those impacted by domestic violence and professionals who work with survivors. You will need to complete registration forms which will be emailed to you after you complete the online registration form. 

The Full HEART Program

Once you have tried the one day HEART program taster you may be interested in the full HEART program which is four (4) sessions, one session per fortnight, over 8 weeks. 

In the full program, there can be ten (10) children and parents/adults. The sessions will address the effects of abuse including reducing anxiety and distress. The program will also help participants to connect with themselves and reconnect with family members. It provides the opportunity to focus on the present – the here and now, helping participants to move forward out of their past traumatic experiences by using equine therapy. The art therapy will assist participants to reflect on their experiences with the horses, identify their feelings and emotions, the focus will be on the personal meaning that each participant finds within their creative work. Overall combining horses and art creates a full bodied life changing postive experience. 

The dates for the four session program will be announced at the end of April. 

The cost for the four-day program will be - a family price of $100 and/or per independent adult $100, once attendance is confirmed you will be sent  registration forms and an invoice to pay. This price is subsidised by donations.
